For new volunteers only will take place
here at St. Mary’s Parish hall on
Saturday, February 15th-9AM-12Noon. -New volunteers please complete the
application through Virtus Online at www.virtusonline.
org to initiate a background check and sign up for a
workshop. You must attend a workshop no later than
the 30th day after completed application.To maintain
compliance, new & existing individuals must renew/
update training at least once every 3 years throughout
their service in ministry by logging into your Virtus
account and complete a refresher course online.
EIM Code of Ethics-While serving in ministry in the
Diocese of Austin, and in your personal life, you commit
to: Strive to exhibit ethical behavior and integrity, free
from any scandal; Conduct yourself in a moral manner
consistent with the discipline, norms and teachings of
the Catholic Church; Accept responsibility in the
protection of minors, elderly adults and adults with disabilities from abuse; Adhere to the applicable laws
regarding the reporting of abuse; Report concerns about
unethical behavior to the diocese and your pastor and
follow the diocesan policies on Ethics and Integrity in
Ministry (EIM), including remaining EIM compliant.-Individuals are responsible for keeping their
information current in the EIM database, including both
personal information and ministry sites.-If you need assistance with application, and/or signing

program is to protect the people of the Diocese of
Austin from abuse and unethical behavior through

order to provide healing.
